Where custom made is customary.

This kitchen combined "old world" with the most modern conveniences. This has been accomplished by blending rich, custom-made cabinetry with honed marble counter tops with state-of-the-art appliances and technologies. Form meets function perfectly in this renovation as it was able to capture features and preserve the original artisan beauty of a 100-year-old home. We accomplished this by providing custom-designed moldings, wood work and traditional cherry cabinetry and by unobtrusively bringing in satellite technology, sound systems and specialized lighting features.

The appliances were selected for function and kept in proportion the overall space design. The center island was designed to function as a kitchen table containing specialized cabinetry with deep drawers and shelves and racks for storage. Although the island weighs 1,000 lbs., it is perfectly balanced on lockable casters and can roll at the push of a finger for extra floor space needed while entertaining.

You will find beauty created by the intricate details of double soffits and crown moldings and the care and detail given to the installation. A custom ceiling feature in the center of the room compliments the cabinetry and ties the room together. The flooring is made of ceramic, which is very durable yet looks like marble and has an anti-skid surface, important in a kitchen. The back splash is made of tumbled Dolomite White marble imported from India and has some threads of cherry running through it. Meticulous attention was as given to the installation, which is in a running bond pattern, again lending that "old world" feel.

Let us help you to create the kitchen of your dreams and create a place for you to bring your favorite people together to enjoy the taste of your home.

Nine-foot-tall custom-designed and built cherry wood cabinetry. Large cherry ceiling feature duplicates the same profiles at the top of the cabinetry. 36" Wolf dual-fuel stove with 42" pro hood exhausts at 1250 cubic feet per minute, if needed. Multiple Pella bay windows and a six-foot Pella patio door provide plenty of natural light and great views to gardens outside. High-definition television is cleanly mounted tight to the wall in a space below the crown molding but can also swing out on an arm and pivot side to side. Cable box and other devices are remotely operated and located elsewhere.

First and second-story wall cabinets provide for plenty of storage and add majestic height to the room. Miele steam oven, speed oven and dishwasher. In-cabinet lighting, under-cabinet lighting, bay window lights, ceiling feature lights, paddle fan lights and main ceiling recessed lights are all controlled by a Lutron "Grafik Eye." Numerous lighting "scenes" can be created at the touch of a button.

Wolf stove has a charbroiler between the two outside sets of burners. 20" stainless steel riser with shelf and warming lights. 100-year-old door and hardware (on left) is restored and blended with 2008 kitchen.

Modern conveniences are very carefully combined with an old-world look in this 100-year-old home. Glass fronts on specific cabinet doors allow for display of contents. "Calacatta Gold" honed marble countertops. Perrin and Rowe faucet. Franke sink. This kitchen is detailed to perfection.

Subzero stainless steel refrigerator with glass door is at far end and is separate from the Subzero under counter freezer drawers on the right. Custom-designed and built island is on lockable casters and can be easily re-positioned. Marble counter tops along with tumbled marble backsplash in a "brickwork" pattern. Extremely hard Brazilian cherry steps lead to a door and landing for the second floor stairs and are stained to exactly match the American cherry cabinetry.
